The Thames Path Project is a personal mission to walk the entire length of the Thames Path from the Thames Barrier in London to the river's source in Gloucestershire.
The start of the project. The original plan was to walk the 9 miles from the Barrier to Tower Bridge, but I could not resist spending time at the Barrier and stopping off at various points to learn about the history and life of the river. By the time I got to Canary Wharf it was getting dark and cold so I cut the stage short. Apart from the great satisfaction at starting a project I had dreamed about for so many years, I was fascinated by the stark contrasts experienced even in such a short stretch of the river. I looked forward with eager anticipation to the next stage. Photo Selection These photos are a small selection taken on the stage. Click on the appropriate thumbnail to see a larger image.
