The Thames Path Project is a personal mission to walk the entire length of the Thames Path from the Thames Barrier in London to the river's source in Gloucestershire.
More disruption on the trains - I had to change at Twickenham to get to Richmond but at least the connections were good. The forecast was for rain in the morning and then dry during the afternoon - sure enough, I watched the final shower of the day from my bedroom window before I left and felt no more than a spot or two during the entire walk. It was more enjoyable than the previous stage. I'm not sure why - perhaps because I didn't suffer from cramp and took the pace a little slower (due primarily to many photo stops). The contrasts of the earlier stages seem to have been replaced with consistency - the tree lined towpath being the primary experience between the built up areas. It was particularly interesting for me to fill the gaps between Richmond, Kingston and Hampton Court - 3 towns I know quite well. I have never walked any of the stretches between them before, except for a small section in Kingston. The next stage will be similar.
