(43) 14.23 - Canary Wharf Tower
I've passed through the DLR station on a few occasions but never actually been in the tower building - the ground floor area is a typical, modern shopping mall along the lines of the Trocadero in the West End.
(44) 14.29 - Rejoining the Path
Always an important moment - rejoining the path at the point where I left it on the last stage. I like this picture - Canary Wharf and a Thames Path sign in the same shot, plus a speeding police car for an extra bonus. (It's siren was blaring at the time).
(45) 14.31 - Up stream from Canary Riverside
This part of the river is busy with ferries but can't compare to what it must have been like even 50 years ago.
(46) 14.38 - Up Stream
You get the sense that the Thames is in essence still part of the sea here (it's salt water until Tower Bridge).
(47) 14.40 - Garden Statue
Many of the old Wharfs have been coverted or replaced by blocks of appartments. Some have riverside gardens that form part of the path. This one had a statue in the corner.
